  2. Thanks everyone for the calls and messages. To answer everyone's questions, yes, the last show will be May 31. I hope to keep it going on Live 365 or some other online site, but no news yet. I'm the station's advisor, so it's not my place to comment on their operations. They have a voice and are quite capable of expressing themselves. I'm retiring from GSU because I've hit my 30 years of service and have maxed out my retirement benefits - and I have a wonderful wife and family I like to spend time with. My 38 years at WRAS have been wonderful, and it's all due to the incredibly gifted students I've had the pleasure to work with. They have kept me young all of these years and I will always been in their debt.

And now for some (almost) final words:

Groucho: "Hello, I must be going..."

W.C. Fields: "It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to"

I welcome your comments to this family-friendly, moderated blog. To keep you from being disappointed, I don't profess to be an expert in music, play only deep cuts, and be a music snob. I listened to top 40 and liked it. And I do repeat songs because I pull music off the wall on the fly - just like the old days.
